Let the holidays begin! Halloween is fast approaching and we are looking forward to hosting our annual BeachFire Halloween extravaganza! Pull those costumes together and make plans to join us.

Construction on our art page is moving forward.  We are finalizing the layout of the page and will begin uploading the online galleries of our talented local artists work shortly.  Among that talent is artist James Parkhurst.

Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, James was inspired at an early age to cultivate his artistic abilities. His talent and reputation
grew quickly from high school, leading him to receive multiple awards and sell his first painting
by the age of 18. After extensive traveling throughout the Pacific, James studied at Otis Art Institute and Cal State University, Long Beach, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications. For many years James was a successful Art Director, and still freelances
while running his own mural and interior art business, Parkhurst Artworks.

Today James continues to gain worldwide recognition
for his paintings. He is constantly pursuing and fine-tuning
his artistry by exploring a world filled with infinite visual emotions and transmitting that essence to his work. “I am
not only looking to create a beautiful scene, but to capture
a certain poetry that exists there as well.”

Stop in to see some of his work and/or visit his website at http://www.parkhurstart.com.

Stay tuned as we hope to launch our online BeachFire Artist Gallery within the next month.
